I joined the art association in 2017 and bring a blend of creativity and technical expertise to the organization. With a passion for photography and music, I have been actively involved in leading the BAA Photography Group, I bring a passion for the arts and an understanding of how thechnology can help extend the BAA message of art eduation to the communities that make up central Texas.

Practicing art since childhood and earning a degree in Fine Art Specializing in a field of Public Relations has provided the skills to expand outreach exponentially due to website design skills, advertising, graphics and social media marketing.

     I would like to increase public participation awareness  in the Art Center's events, exhibits, and classes as the Brownwood Art Association always provided that art experience for Brownwood and the surrounding communities but now is lagging behind due to the changinging times. I would like to increase communications and keep up with the changing technology of the times.

Karen joined the BAA in 2021.  Karen and her husband Dan are lifelong art enthusiasts and collectors.  Karen is currently part of People Painters.  She brings her background in business, finance and project management to her role on the BAA Board.
