Supply List
Professional set of oil pastels, minimum 48 colors (Brands include: Paul Rubens, Meeden, or Light Wish)
Colored or watercolor pencils, 12 colors minimum
Small pointed, metal palette knife (suitable for oil or acrylic paint)
Blending stump
3-Watercolor Canvas Panels (Hobby Lobby or Dollar Store)9X12 or 12X12

Description: Create your own unique gel prints for card stock, book marks, and art works, having fun with mixed media.

Supplies to bring if you have them:
1 gel plate
1 brayer
Acrylic paints
A fun mix of papers: Colored papers, old book pages, magazines, junk mail, tissue papers. Whatever you have laying around—use your imagination!
Finding Your Way ith Watercolor and Gouache
Finding Your Way with Watercolor and Gouache, with June Musick, is a 3-class series on Thursday afternoons or evenings, March 12, 19, and 26. Afternoon sessions are from 1-3 pm, and evening sessions are 6-8 pm. Tuition for either 3-class series is $100. All skill levels are welcome.
Gouache is a water-based paint which has a higher pigment content than watercolor. Gouache dries fast, can be re-wetted, and leaves a matte finish.
Plein Air Painting Class with Jeremy Serna
Learn how to paint in the great outdoors with Jeremy Serna, Sat. March 7, 9am to 3 pm. Plein Air Sketching and Painting
students will assemble at the Art Center, then take a short drive to a nearby ranch for the morning session. Students will return to the Art Center for a catered lunch, followed by an afternoon session.
Tuition is $125, which includes a catered lunch.
Gel Prints for Beginners
Gel Prints for Beginners with Joy Ferguson will meet Sat. Feb. 28, from 12:30-3:30. Gel plate printing creates beautiful mono prints without the need for a large, expensive press. It’s fun and easy, and anyone can do it. Tuition is $40 for Brownwood Art Association members, and $45 for non-members.
Student Supplies:
Acrylic paint, Gel Plate, Brayer, and Copy paper will be provided.
If you have your own plate and brayer, you are welcome to bring yours.
Also, bring any paper you would like to try to print on.(card stock, watercolor paper, old books, etc.)

Introduction to drawing applications with a Stabilo All # 8046 and other aquarellable pencils. If you are drawing with regular greyscale pencils you will enjoy the fast and smooth way to get your grayscale in using Stabillo
Painting Party with Jeremy Serna

Come join the fun. We’re having a Painting Party on August 2nd from 6pm-8pm hosted at the Art Center by acclaimed south Texas artist Mr. Jeremy Serna. Up to 40 artists will be in the event.
Entry fee is $45.
